As a daughter of small business owners, Alison has watched her grandfather and parents establish and grow successful businesses, gaining first-hand knowledge of the importance of marketing and branding.
After graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design, Alison’s communication career began while completing six co-ops and moving to New York City, where she took on diverse professional roles. These include the creation of a new fintech product at Sharewave where she designed the UX architecture, UI, and branding; designing interactions and illustrations across Everyday Health’s product channels; creating retail displays for Korres; and redesigning Skadden’s mailings and newsletters for consistency and accessibility. She also founded and led a community garden where she learned how to garden and effectively collaborate with an incredibly diverse group.
Early in the pandemic, she and her partner took the opportunitiy of remote work to move to Ohio. She currently works for the architecture and interior design firm Meyers+Associates where she is developing a cohesive brand narrative to support business development.
